Our car had been going in and out of Code 68 for a few weeks so we took it to the Opel shop in town last Tuesday and it has been there ever since. The power steering is basically shot so they have to order the new parts and replace it, in total it will cost about 1500 Euros and we will be left car-less and Sines bound for another week or two.
We have been doing a ton of searching for new investigators, trying to build up our teaching pool, so we tracted a ton and did lots of contacts this week. I got 125 contacts, by far the most I have gotten in one week, I only got 18 address out of those but this week I will go for 200 contacts!
We just had 2 lessons this week, one with Angelo and Juliana and the other with an old investigator that we found in the area book named Angelina. Both lessons went pretty well, hopefully they will progress.
A few nights ago when we were tracting we knocked on Miguel´s house, one of the 3 men we met at the Repsol gas station from the Code 68 story. We gave him a Book of Mormon and invited him to read Moroni 10 and ask God if it was true. It was really cool.
The language is really starting to click now, I have made so much progress in the last month. I understand about 70-80% of what is said and am about 40-50% fluent! It has been crazy hard but so fun being able to speak Portuguese!
We can´t go to the church today to finish email time or send pictures so I will send them next week.
